  • Q: Do I pay for a booking fee to try on wedding dresses? 

    A: No, trying on wedding dresses is free for the first 10 dresses, thereafter a fee of R250 is payable to try on 10 more dresses.

  • Q: I need to cancel my appointment, what should I do?

    A: We kindly request you cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance so that we can offer that appointment time to another lovely bride. Contact us using any of your preferred method.

  • Q: How long are your appointments and how many dresses can I try on?

    A: Consultation is an hour and a half and you can try on 10 dresses. Thereafter a fee of R250 is payable to try on 10 more dresses.

  • Q: If I find my dress during the appointment, do I have to pay in full?

    A: We require R1500 deposit for hiring wedding dresses and 50% deposit if you    are buying your dress. The remaining balance is due before your dress can leave the shop. We therefore offer different payment plans to ease the financial strain on wedding planning. Your consultant will discuss this with you at your appointment.

  • Q: Do you allow alterations on hired dresses?

    A: Alterations on hired dresses is limited to resizing and minor changes. Any alterations will be done at an extra cost. Redesigning of the dress is not allowed.

  • Q: How far in advance should I order my dress? (when buying)

    A: Our dresses can take up to 6 months to arrive in the country. We recommend you order your dress 7 months before the wedding; this is to factor in any alteration that may be required.

  • Q: What is your price range for hiring dresses?

    A: Our dresses starts from R5 000 – R40 000 to hire.

  • Q: What is your price range for buying dresses?

    A: Our dresses starts from R13 000 – R100 000 to buy.

  • Q: Do you have plus size wedding dresses?

    A: Our biggest dress size in the shop is a size 42 (18).

  • Q: Do you ever have sales?

    A: We will often have a small selection of sample dresses marked down 30-70% off the retail price, sold 'as-is'.

  • Q: What happens if my weight changes since my first consultation?

    A: We understand that weight can fluctuate due to stress. Beauty of the Bride therefore has professional seamstresses that can resize your wedding dress and do all the necessary changes. These services are available at an additional cost.

  • Q: How long can I keep a hired dress?

    A: The bride can collect her dress 2 days before the wedding and need to return it at the latest 2 days after the wedding.

  • Q: What should I bring to my first fitting?

    A: Your wedding shoes are the most important thing to bring to your first alterations fitting.
